Part Number Updates
This page will contain a part number update file as parts are renumbered by MSA. Each update will contain previous updates so there will only be one file for download.
Updating the part numbers changes all references to old part numbers to the new numbers. For example, if MSA decides that part number 11111 is to be superceded by number 22222 then any part diagram that had showed number 11111 will now read 22222. When going to the Parts Window the old part number (in this case 11111) will now be called 22222. When going to part number 22222 in the Parts Window the Remarks box will say "Replaces old part number 11111". Any saved work orders will still show the original part numbers unless the work order is edited. All information relating to the old number such as quantity in stock, minimum, overhaul notations etc will now be moved to the new number.
As of now there are no updates to download.Normal procedure will be to:
- Click on the download link,
- Save the file to hard drive
- Quit the web browser program
- Double-click on the file, Part Update.exe. It is a self-extracting Winzip file.Follow the instructions to extract the file to anywhere you like.
- Run MSA Minder
- From the File menu select Import Part Number Update
- Click Import
- Select the file location and file that was extracted from the WinZip file.
- That's it
